Hawkins Battery is a family-run, dog friendly holiday park in a unique location offering friendly, relaxed and reasonably price accommodation for seasonal residents and visitors.
 
Hawkins Battery is a former sea defence fort built around 1890 to defend Plymouth Dockyard. Situated on the Mount Edgcumbe Estate it is an ideal setting in which to unwind and a perfect base from which to visit busier parts of Cornwall.
 
Visitor accommodation compromises self-catering caravans amongst the residential cottages, originally built for British forces personnel set along a meandering pathway on the lower tier and a level camping facilities situated on a quiet meadow in the upper tier of the battery.
 
Seasonal residents and visitors enjoy Hawkins for its peaceful atmosphere, unique military history and beautiful location in a designated AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY(AONB) that is both near to the sea and at the heart of the countryside.
 
Before you book, imagine waking-up to the sound of the birds before you set out to enjoy the local area, take the foot-ferry to Plymouth or travel further afield.  In the evening, envisage yourself walking to one of the local villages for a drink and bite, after which returning to your plot, minimal outside lighting allows you to watch the stars and listen to the hoots of the owls.
